There's nowhere to put it all!! Here in Toronto, they have these huge snow melting machines that gather the snow and melt it all and drain it down the sewer. The melting machine is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine and has a top speed of 24km per hour. Most of the time, the machine travels much slower in order to efficiently collect snow for melting. It's about 17.4m long, 3.9m high, 3.1m wide and has a ground clearance of 27cm. The machine weighs 42.6 tonnes, but expands to 56 tonnes when full of water It requires 3 or 4 bob cats to support it by lining up the snow so this huge thing can "eat" it. The parking enforcement will travel ahead of it and give your car a "courtesy" tow if necessary.

I still say those that have a love affair with snow are those who don't have to shovel it, scrape it, and chop it up after it's frozen solid. I left Detroit for a reason. I didn't like my cars looking like someone used them to make bake for 4 months in a row.

that stuff had better be GONE by the 17th!!!

If all goes well there should be a good one when Nick gets here.

As a kid, I had to shovel both of our driveways and the paths around our house... and I still love the snow! And when you get tired, you get to do a big back flop onto the fresh snow from the snow bank! Fun! The love affair continues...
